The Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) is collected from guests staying at hotels and vacation rentals within the City. The current TOT rate is 14%, which includes 10% TOT, 2.5% Atascadero Tourism Business Improvement District (ATBID), and 1.5% San Luis Obispo County Tourism Marketing District (SLOCTMD).
